Mora Schools has seen an uptick in Stop Arm Violations in our District.

When a school bus activates its flashing red lights and extends its stop arm, ALL traffic from both directions must come to a complete stop at least 20 feet away.

This ensures the safety of students entering and exiting the bus.

Don't risk a ticket or a child's safety!

Fines for passing a stopped school bus can be significant. More importantly, failing to stop could result in a child being injured or worse.

Through frigid winters and warm, sunny days—across gravel roads and multi-lane highways, from early mornings to late evenings—we recognize and honor the thousands of professional school bus drivers across Minnesota who safely transport nearly 700,000 students to and from school and school-related activities.

At Mora Public Schools, our bus drivers provide an invaluable service to both our students and our community. They are entrusted each day with the safety of dozens of children and play an integral role in student success and achievement. Often bookending a student’s school day, our drivers become familiar, trusted, and important figures in our children’s lives.

We deeply appreciate our school bus drivers and recognize the vital contributions they make to public education and to the safety and well-being of our students.
