Mrs. Verdon's Transitional Kindergarten class is ready for winter break. The anticipation and excitement among the students must be contagious, as they look forward to some well-deserved time off to enjoy the holiday season. May the holiday season bring you as much joy and happiness as you see on their little faces!
A fun trip to the skating rink is a fantastic way for 6th graders to bond, enjoy some physical activity, and create lasting memories. These outings not only offer a break from the traditional classroom setting but also promote social interaction and physical fitness. Skating is not just fun; it helps improve balance, coordination and provides a healthy outlet for energy. We hope this experience was a memorable one!
Fifth grade celebrated the holiday season with some "choice time". Students were able to choose between extra recess, quiet, or skating time. Here are some moments captured by the students who chose skating. Skating is not only a fun physical activity but also a great way for them to enjoy each other's company and create lasting memories.

Ms. Hambly's 1st grade class combined crafting, gift-giving, and caroling to celebrate the holiday season. Making ornaments for parents and loved ones is a lovely way to spread holiday cheer and create meaningful, handmade gifts. Wrapping the gifts and singing carols add an extra layer of joy and celebration to the occasion. I'm sure their families will appreciate these gifts as much as the students enjoyed making them.
Kudos to the third grade teachers for incorporating interactive activities into their classroom routine by playing board games. Taking time for educational board games is not only fun but a valuable learning experience. Board games can enhance various skills, including critical thinking, strategy, problem-solving, and teamwork. Through gameplay, students can reinforce concepts they've learned in class in a hands-on and interactive way. Educational board games often integrate learning with enjoyment, making the educational experience more memorable and enjoyable for students. Keep up the fantastic work!

Our 5th and 6th grade Challenge classes took some time today to read to Mrs. Rens' and Mrs. Samuelson's kindergarters. This inter-grade activity provided a valuable learning experience for both groups of students!
Congratulations to the 4th graders for putting on an enchanting winter program! Their hard work and dedication paid off, creating a memorable and joyful experience for everyone involved. Due to the absence of snow, snowmen buiiding was not an option. Instead, Mrs. Rydberg's 1st grade class got creative with their unique twist on the traditional winter activity by bringing snowmen building indoors! Great example of adaptability and making the most out of the situation!

Mrs. Anderson's fourth grade students wrote stories about their own gingerbread baby being lost in the Mora area.
Mrs. Romportl's 3rd grade class must have had a wonderful time with their reindeer-directed drawing and painting session. Engaging in directed drawing helps students follow step-by-step instructions, enhancing their ability to focus and follow directions. Painting adds an extra layer of sensory experience and self-expression to the activity, making it a well-rounded and enjoyable learning experience. And the reindeer theme adds a festive touch!
