Wednesday was a magical Snow Day in Ms. Hambly's 12 Days of Christmas celebration, filled with snowy adventures and creative delights! They immersed themselves in snowman book readings that transported them into frosty wonderlands. They created snowman crafts that brought huge smiles and creativity into the classroom. And they used snow (shaving cream) to write spelling and sight words turning learning into a winter wonder! The joy on the students' faces says it all- Snow Day was a blast!
These young creators from Mrs. Romportl's class have been immersed in the magic of Christmas in Sweden and recently brought the festive spirit to life by crafting delightful Tomtes! 🎄By transforming ordinary materials into adorable Tomte creations students discovered some of the charm and traditions of Swedish Christmas.
With the help of some high school students, Mrs. Hasselfeldt's class explored the enchanting story of St. Lucia and it's significance in various cultures.
Second grade embarked on a magical field trip to the Children's Theater Company in Minneapolis to watch the play, "The Grinch"! Highlights of the day included enchanting moments as the classic tale unfolded on stage, laughter, wonder, and pure delight shared by our second-grade stars.
These budding artists followed various directed drawing videos to bring their festive visions to life. A big round of applause to Mrs. Thor and her students for infusing our school with creativity and holiday cheer!
