Effective Monday July 17th, 2023 the District Offices will be temporarily relocating to the Mora Elementary School (200 9th Street, Mora, MN 55051). Office Hours will be Monday-Thursday: 8:00AM-3:30PM or please contact the District Office at (320) 679-6200. Please note that there will be limited access to the building located at 400 E. Maple Ave. The High School Offices are open by appointment only in July. Please contact Grace Kubesh, High School Administrative Assistant at (320)679-6200 ext. 5007 to schedule an appointment. Please join us for the final walk through of the Current Mora High School this Thursday, June 22nd, 2023 from 12:00pm to 7:00pm. Located at 400 E. Maple Ave., Mora, MN 55051. Entrances will be restricted to the Main High School entrance (Door A2) and Handicap Access entrance (Door D1) on the NW backside of the building. When you arrive please register in the HS Cafeteria located on the 2nd (Main) floor. The public is welcome to tour the hallways and select classrooms on their own. Guided tours will be given every hour on the hour, for those interested in a more informational and personalized tour. Please note that access will be restricted to main areas and select classrooms as we are in the process of packing and moving to the New High School. We thank you for your patience and understanding during this period of transition.

Mustang baseball finished the season as the Section 7AA Runner-up. Mora was defeated by a very talented Esko team in the final. It was a great section run gentlemen! #MustangPride

June 12th, 2023 RE: Juneteenth Holiday On Monday May 30th, 2023 Governor Walz signed legislation that establishes Juneteenth as an official State holiday, with legal implications for school districts that goes immediately into effect. After consultation with the Minnesota School Board Association (MSBA) and the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), we have been directed to treat Juneteenth as we would July 4th, (both of which are included in the revised “holiday” definition, under Minnesota Statute 645.44). In Accordance with new law, Minnesota public schools and school boards may not transact public business on Juneteenth. On June 19th, 2023 this month, Mora Public Schools will be closed per this legislation. The district will not hold any student programming or activities on Monday, June 19th, 2023. Further communication may be sent from program leads pertaining to specific programs, if needed. Juneteenth memorializes the historical pronouncement of the abolition of slavery, in 1865, when the Emancipation Proclamation was said to have been first publicly read in Texas by Union soldiers. He did it again! Tayven is a State Champion in the 300 meter hurdles. With a time of 38.22 he set the State AA meet record and a new school record. What a fantastic way to finish the season. Congratulations Tayven! #MustangPride
