Mustang baseball finished the season as the Section 7AA Runner-up. Mora was defeated by a very talented Esko team in the final. It was a great section run gentlemen! #MustangPride

RE: Juneteenth Holiday
On Monday May 30th, 2023 Governor Walz signed legislation that establishes Juneteenth as an official State holiday, with legal implications for school districts that goes immediately into effect.
After consultation with the Minnesota School Board Association (MSBA) and the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), we have been directed to treat Juneteenth as we would July 4th, (both of which are included in the revised “holiday” definition, under Minnesota Statute 645.44). In Accordance with new law, Minnesota public schools and school boards may not transact public business on Juneteenth.
On June 19th, 2023 this month, Mora Public Schools will be closed per this legislation. The district will not hold any student programming or activities on Monday, June 19th, 2023.
Further communication may be sent from program leads pertaining to specific programs, if needed.
Juneteenth memorializes the historical pronouncement of the abolition of slavery, in 1865, when the Emancipation Proclamation was said to have been first publicly read in Texas by Union soldiers.

He did it again! Tayven is a State Champion in the 300 meter hurdles. With a time of 38.22 he set the State AA meet record and a new school record. What a fantastic way to finish the season. Congratulations Tayven! #MustangPride
