Athletic Participation Information
If your child plans to participate in a fall sport, we encourage you and your child to watch the online Sports Meeting slide show on the Activities page of the school website. Coach contact information will be available on the website as well. You can reach out to the coach and get practice information, and any other information they have for you. Please keep in mind that all students will need to also pay their activity fee: Students in grades 7-8 have a $25 activity fee while students in grades 9-12 will pay $50. This is a change from last year.
All students in grades 7-12 who participate in school sports must have two forms on file in the district office:
Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) parent permission/eligibility concussion information form. Online registration is new this year and will be available by early to mid-August. There will be a link on our Activities page of the school website (https://www.moraschools.org/o/...) once the registration is live. You will also find information on this page regarding the activity fee for sports and activities.
Sports Physical - Your student must have a current sports physical on file. Welia is offering free sports physicals on Tuesday, August 9th in Mora, from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Contact Welia Health to set up your appointment. Sports Physical papers can be downloaded and printed from the school's activities page. If you are not able to print one, you can pick them up in the District Office at the High School. You must bring your completed physical form to the District Office before your son/daughter will be able to participate in sports.
Sports physicals are good for three years and the MSHSL form needs to be completed once each school year.
